I may be fairly new to the state of Texas but one does not need to live here long to become concerned about the gun laws here. I am from Massachusetts where there is constant traffic and road rage. At worst there may be a fist fight but here in Texas it is best to take your losses. Because half the citizens here are licensed to carry and not afraid to use their gun. If you click on the link below it will take you to a website that has all of the mass shootings that has taken place here in Texas. Now the mass shootings is not from many citizens being licensed to carry. Instead there are ways in which one can purchase a gun without being legal here in Texas. And that is through a private sale. Most Democrats refer to it as a loop hole (https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Dan-Patrick-s-pivot-on-gun-sale-loophole-sends-14432588.php).
My goal is to collect all the information that I can. The information will be to present it along with a legislative bill to my senator. A bill that can help to prevent many innocent people from getting hurt. Since there has been way too many innocent citizens lost to gun violence. Two mass shootings took place here in Texas recently (CNN.com, 2019). Both because guns got into the wrong hands and this could have been avoid. All those who lost their lives due to these loopholes is completely unacceptable.
